G1 Prix du Jockey Club: WALDGEIST fantastic runner-up!

Our Galileo-son WALDGEIST delivered a scintillating performance in the classic G1 Prix Du Jockey Club (€1,500,000) in Chantilly today. The three-year-old out of WALDLERCHE broke well under Pierre-Charles Boudot and settled midfield for much of the 2100 m. Entering the deep stretch, the colt showed amazing speed yet was passed by Brametot by a short head only, albeit showing Recoletos, who had recently beaten him in the G2 Prix Greffulhe, to third place.
