WALDGEIST triumphs in G1 Prix Ganay

Following a short break after a long 2018 season, WALDGEIST is back and he appears better than ever. The now five-year-old Galileo-son delivered a thrilling performance in today's €300,000 G1 Prix Ganay at Paris-Longchamp and so kicked off his 2019 campaign garnering the third G1 success of his career. Breaking from stall one, his steady partner Pierre-Charles Boudot positioned WALDGEIST midfield where the colt settled nicely and comfortably displayed his long stride for most of the 2100 m. Once the small but elect field reached the final stretch, Boudot asked WALDGEIST only once and the chestnut effortlessly shifted into a higher gear to draw away from the field in impressive manner. The post saw Boudot joyfully celebrating while the rest of the pack trailed the winning pair by four and a half lengths.
