Four-year-old PLACE DU CARROUSEL presented herself in great form after coming off a lengthy break since April when she cruised to an uncontested win in the Gr.3 Prix Gontau-Biron at Deauville today. The daughter of LOPE DE VEGA, who had a specular win in the Gr.1 Prix de l'Opera last year, had Mickael Barzalona on board, who settled the mare midfield and sent her flying in the straight where she secured a length advantage after 2,000 metres.
