3YO CARL SPACKLER Gr.2 winner in U.S. for LOPE DE VEGA

Three-year-old CARL SPACKLER by LOPE DE VEGA recorded his first Stakes victory in his fourth lifetime start yesterday in the United States when he won the $500,000 National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes at Saratoga. Trained by Chad Brown for his breeders Five Racing Thoroughbreds, the chestnut colt was the fastest horse in the final stages of the Gr.2 contest for three-year-olds run over Turf and roared past his rivals with an incredible turn of foot to record a two and a quarter length advantage at the finish post.
